Dealing with Accidents and Emergencies

Emergencies are situations where there is an immediate or imminent risk to health, safety or wellbeing of a person or their environment. Support Workers have a duty of care and therefore a legal responsibility to minimise the harm that may occur.

During Office hours emergencies will be dealt with by either the Care Services Manager or a Team Manager based at the office. Outside of these hours an ‘On Call’ service has been developed for dealing with emergencies. Contact can be made to the On Call Team by ringing the On Call number. The On Call Team will respond as soon as possible.
