The East Yorkshire Housing Association was established in Bridlington in 1983 as a small voluntary charitable organisation providing housing and support for young, single, homeless, vulnerable people.
1989 saw a significant period of expansion when we worked as part of a Consortium developing a community-based housing project for individuals with learning disabilities.
By the mid-nineties we diversified into housing for families with a disabled member and opened our community daytime activity and outreach project at the Grove Centre.
Since then we have developed a number of supportive housing units in response to East Riding of Yorkshire’s ‘Supporting People Programme’.
In 2010 the organisation once again diversified into Domiciliary Care to meet the Government’s ‘Putting People First’ agenda. From April 2010, East Yorkshire Housing Association Ltd divided.
East Yorkshire Housing Association Ltd continues the business of owning and letting its housing stock. Wolds & Coast Domiciliary Agency provides community and home-based care and support.
